Area 52: Alien Headquarters is an walk-through scare attraction for a section of King's Island's Halloween Horror Nights entitled Area 52. Inspired by the Flight of Fear ride in King's Island, it takes a look at a world in which the aliens broke out of their 1990s themed ride.

Research- Facade

In one area of the section, guests see a row of Porta Potties that appear to have a conspicuous sign that says "Out of Order Guests". If guests dare to forgo the warning, they find themselves walking into something unexpected.

Research - interior

Upon entering the Porta Potty enterance, guests come into a dark evil lair full of computers, wires, and force field cages. Corrugated metal walls and a painters tarp ceiling set the mood as the light from the 1990s computers help illuminate walkways. On the monitors, guests see various views of park guests, signifying to onlookers that they are always being watched. Depending on which side guests enter, they see force field cages that contain either a frozen body or a charred body. In the very center of the room is a large force field cage which has a tile wall, large metal doors, and a live person screaming for help.

The Frozen Foods Display

Upon entering the room from one side, guests see a display containing a miserable looking person who is frozen solid and has icicles hanging off of them. There is an advertisement talking about how delicious and refreshing frozen earthlings are.

The Baked Foods Display

Upon entering the room from the other side, spectators are greeted to a cage containing the charred remains of what was once a person. We are treated to a kitchy display talking about the cooking process of humans.

The Cafeteria

When guests approach the center of the room, they see a force field cage that is quite large compared to the others. They see a live person is trapped inside, surrounded by mangled bodies. A scurrying sound is heard throughout the headquarters and the person screams "It's coming!" They cry out and the lights all turn off as we hear grotesque sounds come from the cage. The lights turn back on and body parts are strewn everywhere. Another victim is pushed inside only to repeat the process moments later.
