Process
Research
The feelings of New Orleans Mardi Gras came alive with an emphasis on motifs of fleur de lis, diamonds, crowns, beads, wrought iron work, and Bourbon Street creating a fun and laid back party atmosphere. Art direction was needed for various entertainment venues and food locations alongside general in-land atmospheric design.
Renderings
Various Sketchup models were created as spacial and visual studies for both band venues.
Initial Concept
Two distinct venues were called out for various bands who would help bring live music to the area.
Draftings
25 designer plates were created in AutoCAD to detail the scenic elements for the area. Various CNC files were created to aid in the construction of set pieces.
Painters Elevations
15 painters elevations and a forced perspective "cheat sheet" were created to detail the walls, props, and an extensive breakdown of the floor.
Print Ready Graphics Files
Alongside the CNC files created, graphic designs were created to be printed in full scale for set design and food vendor pieces.
